Barrie cunning, Managing Director

Prior to establishing Pentland, Barrie worked in communications in London and stood as a Labour candidate for the Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency. Colum Mackey, Political consultant

Colum read law at Ulster university and graduated with a 2:1. After graduating, Colum undertook a sabbatical and was elected Vice President, then President of Ulster University Students’ Union, representing the union’s 26,000 members. He has served on the National Executive Council of the National Union of Students and is currently involved with NUS-USI, the national representative body for students in NI. Colun has undertaken internships in Washington DC and New York in a public affairs firm and commercial law practice respectively.

Maurice Corry, Associate

Elected to the Scottish Parliament in 2010 to represent the West Scotland regional list, Maurice served as the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party's deputy spokesperson for veterans. Prior to being elected to the Scottish Parliament, Maurice served as a councillor for Argyll and Bute representing the Lomond North ward.

A thorough understanding of the planning system and after a decade of being in front line politics, Maurice brings an extensive network of political contacts throughout local and national government in Scotland.


Donald Martin, Associate

With over three decades experience in leading and managing National, Regional, Sunday, Daily and Weekly newspaper and magazine titles across the UK which includes Editor in Chief at Newsquest Scotland, Donald has an unrivalled understanding of media and can provide strategic insight, analysis and guidance on all aspects of media, PR, reputational comms and brand strategy.


 

 

AMY CROSS, Associate

Elected to Blackpool City Council in 2011 and serving in various Cabinet positions and currently the Mayor of Blackpool, Amy brings with her a thorough understanding of local government across Blackpool and the North West of England.

Having held national roles including the North West representative on the Association of Labour Councillors and a board member of the Labour Group at the Local Government Association, Amy has strong links across the national Labour Party.


Dominic Gilbert, Associate

A thorough knowledge and understanding of both politics and planning across London and the South East of England, Dominic joins Pentland with a vast network of cross party political contacts at both national and devolved areas. Experienced in overseeing public consultations, undertaking support generation and operating in a diverse sphere of influence Dominic will provide support on all London and South East based projects.

Outside of work Dominic likes to keep fit and is an active Conservative Party member in East London.
