The Proposal

Taylor Wimpey submitted a planning application in 2022 for around 150 new homes in Carron, Falkirk.  The planning application is due to be determined by the Council early in 2025.

The development proposes an impressive choice of high-quality homes, with a range of property styles and sizes to meet local demand, from first homes to downsizers.

The new homes will be sensitively set within the existing landscape framework and will include substantial green open space

Economic & Social Benefits

The new development will bring significant economic and social benefits to the local area. 

  • There will be approximately 150 new homes for people who need a home.  37 of these will be affordable homes.

  • Construction benefits including direct construction jobs and indirect jobs for local people.

  • We will strive to ensure jobs stay local and contractors are prioritised from the local area

  • Supporting the local community with £825,000 first occupation expenditure (spending to make a house feel like a home) and

  • £3.9m p.a. net additional residential expenditure in local shops and services; and

  • £199,050 Council Tax Revenues per annum.
